Don’t Just See Your Memories—Feel Them!
Your wedding day is full of tiny moments that make it yours. The squeeze of a hand. The deep breath before you walk in. The full belly laugh you didn't see coming. The look between you two that nobody else even caught.
I'm there to get all of it, quietly, without you ever feeling like you're being photographed.
Honestly... I produce my best work when I'm left to it. Reading the room, knowing when to back off and when to get in close, knowing when a moment is about to happen before it does. Twenty years of weddings teaches you that.
There's a skill to this that doesn't get talked about enough... the art of observing. Not just photographing the couple, but watching the room. The guests turning to catch the bride walking in. Mum or nan frantically searching through bags for tissues. The laugh shared between two people at the bar who haven't seen each other in years. The moments nobody directed, nobody noticed, nobody else got. That's what I'm there for.
Because once the cake is eaten, the drinks are drunk, and the confetti is long gone... what you're left with, besides your rings and maybe a slightly squashed bouquet, are your photos. They're the bit that lasts.
My couples are a mixed bunch. Some throw epic parties, some keep it to twenty people in a pub. But they all tend to want the same thing... real moments over posed ones, to actually enjoy their day rather than spend it being arranged, and a photographer who gets on with it without making a fuss.
If that sounds like you, you're in the right place.
What’s a Hybrid Photographer?
Alongside the photography, I also create short wedding films... usually around ten minutes, woven together from the little clips I shoot throughout your day. Real moments, proper storytelling, nothing staged.
Worth being upfront though... I'm not a traditional videographer. If you want full ceremony and speech coverage, I'm not the right fit for that, but I can point you in the direction of some brilliant wedding filmmakers who are.
Want to see what a hybrid film actually looks like? Take a look at some of my taster films below.
What’s Included?
A private, downloadable gallery of your full wedding day... every moment, yours to keep.
With 20 years of weddings behind me, I know when to be in the middle of it and when to disappear into the background. I'll help you with your timeline, recommend suppliers, and generally just be someone you're glad is there. Martyn's usually somewhere nearby too, long lens in hand, getting the shots I can't.
Got a question? Ask it. There's no such thing as a stupid one, and I'm always at the end of a message. Unlimited chats, no judgement, no rushing you along.
A little heads up for the lads... ties and buttonholes, YouTube is genuinely your friend. The reason I don't get involved is because that moment of someone helping you with it is one of the best shots of the morning, and I need to be behind the camera for it, not doing the job myself.
One thing worth knowing about my style... my editing is atmospheric and cinematic. Rich, moody, full of contrast and depth. If you're after light, airy and pastel-toned, I'm probably not the right fit, and that's absolutely fine. Better to know now than be disappointed later.
Wedding Photography Packages
Let's Talk Money
I know... nobody's favourite bit. Talking about money always feels a bit awkward, but you need to know what you're spending. (Half a day is up to 6 hours.)
PHOTOGRAPHY ONLY / FULL DAY £1700 / HALF DAY £1100
FILM ONLY / FULL DAY £1000 / HALF DAY £700
BEST OF BOTH / FULL DAY £2100 ( save £600) / HALF DAY £1400 (save £400)
Why the saving on Best of Both? Booked separately, photography and film would be £1,800 for a half day or £2,700 for a full day. But I'm already there shooting your photos, so you're not paying for me to be there twice... the saving is yours.
Need a little longer? If six hours isn't quite enough, you can add an extra hour for £180 (photography) or £250 (Best of Both).
Full day coverage starts two hours before your ceremony to capture the preparations, and runs right through until a little past your first dance to grab those all important party shots. Half day packages are available within 35 miles of Eccleshall...
"Great price, greater person, and the best photographs I could have asked for." Tom.
