No two family sessions are ever the same. Different kids, different dynamics, different levels of willingness to cooperate... and that's exactly what makes them brilliant.
I'm not going to line you up and ask you to smile. I'm going to follow you around, watch what happens, and catch the bits you didn't even notice were happening. The giggling. The eye rolls from the one who thinks they're too cool for this now. The toddler doing something completely inexplicable in the background.
And honestly... I wish more families booked me for the in-between stuff too. Not just the big occasions. The eight year old on the trampoline while you're washing up on a Wednesday night. The relaxed Sunday morning making cakes in pyjamas. The version of your kids that exists right now, today, that you'll desperately wish you'd photographed in ten years time.
A lot of families come back year after year, and I love that. Because you don't always notice how much changes day to day... but when you put this year's photos next to last year's, you really see it. Like marking heights on the kitchen wall, except considerably more charming.
Whatever the season, wherever you want to do it... fields, woodland, your own back garden. Kids always look best when they're free to just be themselves.

There's something about a home session that an outdoor one can't quite replicate.
In ten, twenty years time... you'll look at these photos and it won't just be the faces that get you. It'll be the wallpaper. The toys on the floor. The exact way the light came through that window. The sofa you sat on every single night without ever thinking to notice it.
Kids do the same thing. I still look at photos of myself as a child and I'm straight back there... I can almost smell the room.
That's what I love about photographing families at home. The every dayness of it. The fort in the living room, the baking that went slightly wrong, the chaos of a Saturday morning that felt completely unremarkable at the time and will one day feel like everything.
No need to get out the door or check the weather. Just let me in, put the kettle on, and carry on as normal.

A £50 retainer secures your date and comes off the total at the end. After your session you'll get a private online gallery to pick your favourites from. Collections start at £222 for 20 images, with options to add more if you want them.
