Wedding Photography & Film
DON’T JUST SEE YOUR MEMORIES, FEEL THEM!
I want you to experience your wedding day all over again — A touch, A look, the joy of a full on belly laugh.
When it comes to your wedding, photography is likely one of the most important and pricey purchases of your day. After all, it’s the one thing you have left after the day is over, apart from your rings. Sure, you might wear your dress or suit again, but let’s be real: you probably won’t be strutting around Aldi in a white frock grabbing the weekend wine. So, once the cake is eaten, the drinks are drunk, and the confetti is swept away, your rings and your photos are what remain. Those months spent planning ( waking at 3 am thinking of what colour napkins to have ) will be gone in the blink of an eye. I’m going to be sensible here, I can’t stress enough how quick it goes, and once it’s gone, it’s gone.
My couples are an eclectic mix — from small, intimate quiet weddings to loud, colourful full on parties. But they all have a few things in common: They want to keep it real, they love a bloody good laugh, they’re down-to-earth, and they just want to enjoy every moment. If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place.
What’s a hybrid photographer?
Great question! I use the same equipment to capture both photos and short clips of film throughout the day. I then create a storytelling film, usually around 10 minutes long, depending on the coverage of your wedding. But, let me be clear: I’m not a videographer. If you’re looking for a full video of your wedding, complete with ceremony and speeches, you’ll want to hire a dedicated videographer, I can recommend plenty of incredibly talented film makers if that’s what your looking for.
Here’s a few of my taster films below!
Parting with your hard earn cash
Now, I get it — it’s a lot of money to spend on a middle-aged woman with a couple of cameras. So let me tell you exactly what you’ll get and what my approach is all about. First and foremost, I take the time to get to know my couples, to understand what matters most to you, after 20 years shooting weddings, it makes a huge difference to really know what makes you tick. Maybe you love the little details? especially if you’ve taken months sourcing or making them, you definitely need a photo of them, or maybe it’s those candid moments with friends and family that mean the most, its my job to find out, we can have as many chats on the phone, email, or video calls as you like. my aim is always for you to feel like your mates just rocked up with her camera, also after 20 years in the industry feel free to pick my brains. Huge part of what I do is to, ‘READ THE ROOM’ as I call it, knowing when to be up in the middle of the action on a dance floor, and then knowing when to be respectfully in the back ground during intimate moments.
You will also receive not 1 but 2 galleries (downloadable),
- 1st Gallery is just for you, and who ever you would like to share it with, this will be the entire wedding coverage, and yours to download and print. (this might not be something you want to share with Aunty Gladys)
- 2nd Gallery is during your drinks reception, Martyn (who I’ve volunteered, he’s also happy too) is available to take portraits of your guests if they want, while they are all suited and booted, and before they get too drunk. (those photos I will get on the dance floor baby! ) this is something we have been trailling this year and its been hugely popular, its always nice to have a professional photo of you and your other half, or the family. now this is a link you can share with Aunty Gladys!
My editing style is definitely on the darker, moodier scale, I like to think of it as atmospheric. I love the contrast of light and dark in an image to give the depth to the viewer, I shoot in this style too, if I was to have my perfect wedding day weather it would actually be overcast, and then sun out at golden hour, not asking for much am i.. If you’re wanting light airy and little contrast, I am definitely NOT your girl.

A little bonus is that my other half, (the long suffering Martyn) is also with me through out the day, helping capture your day alongside myself.
