It’s all about you!!
You – Are a Mother, A Father, you absolutely adore capturing moments with your kids through photographs, but unfortunately, as with most parents, you’re usually the one behind the camera, resulting in very few pictures of you together or the odd selfie. You hate the thought of a typical studio session, where you’re posed within an inch of your life, the possibility of bored kids misbehaving, feeling overwhelmed and anxious. On top of all that, your family photos end up looking like everyone else’s.
Let’s face it, everyday life tends to get chaotic with work, school, kids’ clubs, and playdates with little ones. It often gets in the way of quality family time, with the worry that you will reach a point where your kids are adults and feel like you missed out on their childhood. I get it!! Firstly, as a mum, and I’m now repeating it all again as a grandma. Trust me when I say time waits for no man or family for that matter.
What you truly desire is to see the genuine reality of all those everyday normal, simple, wonderful moments captured in a photograph. While it’s wonderful to remember how you looked (even the dodgy haircuts at times), it’s even more important to reminisce on the bond you share as a family.
I recall a lovely mum saying to me after their session that it was almost like being given permission to slow down, relax, and enjoy some time together and just be present. In a world when we all work and time flies by, these words mean so much, as I know so many of us feel this exact way.
ME – I’m a huge believer in authentic moments and emotions. My aim is always to create natural photographs in a creative way that tells a unique story for each family. I strive to be an observer, blending into the background and allowing the true essence of the family to shine through. That said, not everyone is comfortable just doing their thing with a camera pointed at them. If that’s the case, a little direction and some ideas on activities can ease the stage fright and make you feel relaxed because that’s where the magic happens.
My photography style is natural and relaxed, ensuring that every image feels genuine and heartfelt. I aim to showcase the beauty in the everyday simple moments that often go unnoticed. From tickle fights to jumping on beds, I believe in capturing the pure joy and love that exists within a family. I am drawn to the raw emotions that come with laughter, tears, and even chaos, as they all contribute to the genuine connections shared between loved ones.
